With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Mr. Kenneth Grimes, age 68, of 251 Community Road, White Oak, North Carolina, who transitioned on January 9, 2026, at Lumberton Hospital in Lumberton, North Carolina.

​

Mr. Grimes was a beloved father, companion, brother, and grandfather whose life touched those who knew him. He will be lovingly remembered for his presence, his relationships, and the memories he created with family and friends.

​

He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted daughter, Shantease Grimes; his lifelong companion, Bernice Horn, of the home; one brother, Ernest Grimes; and two grandchildren, who brought him great joy.

​

A public viewing will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2026, from 12:00 noon until 3:00 p.m., at Newton Chapel, located at 403 Martin Street, Elizabethtown, North Carolina 28337.

​

Interment services will be private.

​
