Mr. Willie Thurman Miller, age 92, of 3687 Marcliff Road, Hope Mills, North Carolina, transitioned peacefully on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

​

Born with a gentle spirit and a steadfast heart, Mr. Miller lived a long and fulfilling life marked by love, faith, and service. He was a devoted father, brother, and friend whose kindness and wisdom touched all who knew him. His legacy of integrity, humility, and compassion will continue to inspire those blessed to have shared in his journey.

Mr. Miller leaves to cherish his precious memories his two devoted children: daughter, Wanda Rogers, and son, Thurman Miller; three loving sisters: Betty Miller, Marie Miller, and Janie Canon; and a host of extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at 2:30 P.M. at Browns Creek AME Zion Church, 394 Browns Church Road, Elizabethtown, N.C. 28337.

​

Public Viewing will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. at Newton Chapel, 403 Martin Street, Elizabethtown, N.C. 28337.

​

Interment will follow the funeral service on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at Browns Creek AME Zion Church Cemetery, Elizabethtown, N.C. 28337.

Mr. Miller’s life was a testament to faith and family—a life well-lived and a soul well-loved. Though he has departed this earthly home, his light will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
