Don Nelson Newkirk, 71, passed away on September 28, 2022.

 

Services will be held Monday, October 3, 2022, at 1 p.m., at Roseville Missionary Baptist Church, located at 2870 Wilmington Hwy in Willard, N.C. A viewing will also be held at 12 p.m. at the church. 

 

The public viewing will be held on Sunday, October 2, from 5-7 p.m., at F.W. Newton Funeral Chapel, located at 403 Martin St. in Elizabethtown, N.C.

 

Don leaves behind a loving wife, Delores Johnson Newkirk, four children, Derrick Newkirk, Keith Newkirk, Brooks Newkirk and Devin Newkirk. He also leaves behind his mother Mrs. Freda Newkirk, five siblings, Larry Newkirk, William Newkirk (Robin), Janice Peterson, Clovis “Moe” Newkirk (Paulette), and Otis Newkirk; sisters-in-law, Hilda “Faye” Johnson Odom, Bonnie Johnson Williams (Ronnie); and a host of nieces and nephews.

 

Don will be truly missed by his family and friends.
