William Henry Poe, of Elizabethtown, N. C. age 76 was born May 21, 1946 to the late Flora Mae McDowell Poe and Milton Brent Poe of White Oak, North Carolina.

William departed this life on June 3, 2022 at Cape Fear Valley Hospital in Fayetteville, NC.

 

He was educated in the Bladen County School System.  He was employed as a truck driver and the Smithfield Packing Company for several years. 

​

William leaves two children: One son, Anthony Poe of White Oak, North Carolina and a daughter Deborah Poe of Raleigh, NC; two brothers, Fred Poe of Detroit, Michigan, and Amos Poe (Isabell) of Capital Heights, Maryland, and one Sister Victoria Lloyd of Philadelphia, PA.

Funeral Service will be on Thursday, June 9, 2022.  Service will begins at 12:00 Noon and Public Viewing at 11:00 am. at  F.W. Newton Funeral Chapel, 403 Martin Street Elizabethtown, NC 28337.

Burial will follow in Richardson Chapel Cemetery, 5950 Hwy. 53 West- White Oak, NC 28399.
