Pervis Lee McLaughlin was born May 20, 1939 in Cumberland County, NC to the late John Daniel McLaughlin and Alease Pipkin. Pervis transitioned on December 19, 2021 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

 

Pervis is survived by his former wife, Betty Ann McLaughlin; three sons Avery McLaughlin, Pervis McLaughlin, Darius McLaughlin, three daughters, Carmela McKeller-Smith, Ida Delay and Angela Shaw, two sisters, Patricia Graham and Doretha Generette.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 26, 2021 from 2 pm to 4 pm, at Newton Chapel. Funeral services will be Monday, December 27, 2021 at 12 noon, at Newton Chapel, 403 Martin St, Elizabethtown, NC 28337.
