We bow in humble submission to the Master’s will and announce the transition of Mr. Bobby G. McKoy, age 80, of 600 Mercer Mill Road, Elizabethtown, North Carolina. Mr. McKoy departed this life on Friday, May 16, 2025, at Bladen Hospital, Elizabethtown, N.C.

He leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion, remembered fondly by his wife, Mrs. Joyce McKoy; his two children, Mr. Bobby G. McKoy, Jr. and Ms. Natasha Davis; four beloved sisters, Annie McKoy, Sylvia Council, Joanne Council, and Jacqueline McKoy; and seven dear brothers, David McKoy, James McKoy, Timothy McKoy, Michael McKoy, Kenneth McKoy, Larry McKoy, and Lorenzo Johnson.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at Martin Chapel AME Zion Church, 1523 NC-53, Elizabethtown, N.C. 28337.

Public visitation is scheduled for Thursday, May 22, 2025, from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the F.W. Newton Funeral Home Chapel, 403 Martin Street, Elizabethtown, N.C. 28337.

Interment will follow the funeral service at Martin Chapel AMEZ Church Cemetery, NC-53, Elizabethtown, N.C. 28337.

Mr. Bobby G. McKoy will be remembered for his steadfast love, his strength of character, and his deep devotion to his family and faith. May he rest peacefully in the arms of the Lord.
