James "Sam" Elbert McDowell, departed from his earthly home on April 29, 2022 at the age of 68.

James leaves to cherish his memory, by his daughter LaDonna C Howard of Elizabethtown NC; Four Sisters, Lillian McDowell; Dorothy Faye McDowell; Mary McDowell; and Margaret McDowell all of Elizabethtown NC.

​

​Memorial Service for James "Sam" Elbert McDowell  will take place on Saturday May 7th at 11am on Browns Creek Church Road.
