F.W. NEWTON SERVICES, LLC

       Sharon Ann (Mattie) Gillespie was born on June 4, 1961 to the late Arthur Glassco and Mildred Williams in Birmingham, Alabama. On Sunday, September 5, 2021, she departed her earthly home surrounded by her loving family.

      Sharon was truly one of a kind. She had an outstanding and outspoken personality and didn’t’ mind speaking her mind. She had a heart of gold and would help anyone that she could. Sharon loved to play Bingo and as considered family by everyone of her Bingo friends. Sharon was love by everyone who grew to know her. When Sharon was in the room, we all definitely knew she was there. Although we will miss her, her spirit will continue to live in our hearts.

     Sharon was joined in holy matrimony to Mark Gillespie on July 25, 2000. She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband Mark Gillespie of the home; two sons, Andre McMillan (Tyronda) and Shane McMillan (Shenae) of Elizabethtown, North Carolina; one brother, Paul Williams (Alana) of Norman, Oklahoma; one sister, Veronica Williams of Fayetteville, North Carolina. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, sister-in-laws, brother-in laws and may special friends.

A memorial service will be on Friday, September 10, 2021 at 11 am at Newton Chapel in Elizabethtown, NC. Service viewing will be available via the FW Newton Services Facebook page.
